De'Sire is a Soulful Baltimore-based R&B Female Vocal Trio with deep roots in the DMV area. The group's journey began in 1997 when founding member Bridget George had a vision of bringing together a collection of powerful female voices capable of delivering a positive and enduring musical message and image. The current lineup consists of Kymberly Rose-Jones and Tina Maria Camara-Swain whose mission is simple: "To Dazzle And Uplift Their Audience And Allow Them To Reminisce On The Best Times Of Their Lives!!"
De'Sire's sound is influenced by Legacy Artists such as The Emotions, The Jones Girls, The Three Degrees and Love Unlimited Steeped in Classic Soul by Blending Rich Harmonies and Heartfelt Emotion With A Powerful Yet Feminine Delivery.
Founder Bridget George is an Actress, Model and Vocalist who began singing as a child in church with her musical family and was heavily influenced by Rev. Shirley Caesar, Rev. James Cleveland, Yolanda Adams, Soul Icon Donny Hathaway, Phyllis Hyman and Jean Carne, The Emotions, The Jones Girls, Love Unlimited and Philadelphia International's The Three Degrees.
Her Professional Singing Career began in 1994 when she formed her first group Deep SinSation. In 1996 as a member of the group EnUnique she began working in local venues with BT Productions eventually becoming An Opening Act for Millie Jackson, The Intruders, The Delphonics and supporting Archie Bell as a backing vocalist working as a member of his female group "The Drellettes" gaining invaluable performance experience traveling on the road with professional entertainment veterans in the music business. She has worked with The Chi-Lites and The Stylistics as well as The Dramatics and is continuing the pursuit of her life-long dream to become an Actress and World-Class Vocalist.
Kymberly Rose is a Singer, Songwriter and Actress raised in the Gospel Tradition as well whose artistry blends R&B, Indie-Soul, Jazz and Contemporary Influences with A Bold, Raw and Emotionally-Rich Edge. Raised on the Timeless Sounds of Patti La Belle, Etta James, Aretha Franklin and Minnie Ripperton, her Voice is Rooted In Power, Soul and Expressive Storytelling. With a strong foundation in Music and Live Performance, she brings Depth, Intention and Emotional Authenticity to every creative space she enters. Her background in Theater enhances her ability to connect through Expression, Presence and Delivery. As a dedicated member of De'Sire Kymberly contributes Songwriting Insight, Artistic Sensitivity, Collaboration, Harmony and Soulful Vocals that are essential in strengthening and shaping the group's sound and shared vision.
Tina Maria Camara-Swain is the newest member of De'Sire bringing her gifts as a Singer, Songwriter, Arranger and Producer to the group. Raised in a musically rich household and rooted in church her earliest musical foundation was shaped by Gospel Music that instilled in her a deep sense of Spirituality, Emotional Connection and Vocal Discipline that has continued to influence her artistry today. A Washington, D.C. native, Tina was also shaped by the vibrant Go-Go culture dancing to Chuck Brown, Trouble Funk and Rare Essence, eventually forming a Funk-Rock-Soul Group "Twisted Goddess", Releasing a self-titled 10-track CD. She was also an avid fan of Funkadelic, Hendrix, Rufus and Chaka, EWF, Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin and La Belle. Her jazz sensibilities were shaped by Dinah Washington and Dianne Reeves who influenced her Mastery of Tone, Phrasing and Emotional Expression which allowed her to discover that music was not just a passion, but something deeply embedded in her spirit. Tina has performed at The Apollo Theater, Lincoln Center and Constitution Hall and is excited to have found a "New Musical Home" with De'Sire where together they bring Elegance, Emotional Depth and A Soulful Presentation To Their Audiences With Each Performance.
De'Sire has appeared at Baltimore's Lyric Theater as an Opening Act for The Stylistics, The Manhattans, Harold Melvin's Blue Notes and The Delfonics As The Only Local Female Act invited As Special Guests To Perform At The 70's Soul Jam as Recently As Last Year (2025). Jason Sharp of The Stylistics is mentoring the group guiding them as they find "their voices" as artists. Currently the ladies are preparing to Record their Debut CD To Showcase their Bold, Unified Expression Of Femininity And Emotional Truth To Create An Enduring Masterpiece For Soul Music Lovers Everywhere.
